WAR ON VIOLENT CRIME
PHASE 3: THE VIPERS

The Mayor's Office, in continuing his recent cracking down on gang activity started phase 2 on Tuesday when Viper Headquarters and all businesses were closed and seized by the Mayor's Office and Syn City Bank according to the large stop sign shaped signs plastered on the openings and doors. According to some sources, the account of Viper Boss, Black Venom has been frozen and the city is requesting more taxes. The docks, Viper Garage, and H4L have all been affected.

The seizing looks much like the same process used back at the end of February when they shut down all Sinner businesses, froze their bank accounts and liquidated their headquarters. Sinners have since then regained possession of their businesses though they did lose their hq in the process. There was a rumour that came out at the same time saying that Oso and Vipers would be next. With Oso now gone, we can assume phase 2 of the Mayor's War on Violent Crime campaign, his attentions have now turned to the Vipers though some speculate that both the new Chief of Police Distansa as well as Dina, the CEO of Syn City Bank are both behind the financial attacks on Vipers. Though at this time, this information is unconfirmed.

What will be the Vipers' response? Will they lose their beloved hq as well? Will they be run out of town like Oso? It remains to be seen as of yet but all know Vipers will not go down without a fight and the violence in Syn will be increasing before decreasing, of that you can be certain. They have already taken over the old city hall as their new HQ. Despite the lack of activity from the well known MC, everyone knows that the Viper family won't give up without a fight. If it's a fight the City wants, it is a fight they will get. Be alert for more information, as this is just the beginning of Phase 3 on the War on Violent Crime.

New Apartments for Rent

Thanks to our wonderful Mayor, the latest by Project Destiny Construction is affordable housing for Synizens. The new apartments are located next to Sinner Headquarters and come fully furnished. If you've been looking for something in the lower price ranges, here's your chance! Ignore the bloody remnants of an incident, tis Syn City, it's certain to be cleaned up...eventually. Read below for more information!

RECEIPTS BETA RESULTS

The official Receipts Beta Program came to a conclusion on March 15th but with the success of the program, it seems that the Receipts Program created by Deputy Mayor Dolly Swizzle will remain in affect as decided at the past Council meeting. The Beta was a complete success and the City Council couldn't have hoped for better results. There was a total of 215 receipts and 54,910 Brunsens spent. They would like to thank all the Synizens and businesses that participated and hope for continued participation.

Below are the listed results for the past few weeks. There have been two new businesses to join in the program; Flo's Bakery and Fenix Rising Motorcycles. Thanks again for your continued participation.

CARNIVAL COMES TO SYN

This Friday Sinners brought the Carnival to Syn and for the first time in years members of all gangs within the city were able to come together and enjoy each other's company while having fun! Surprisingly enough, the event went off without any bullets being shot or fights breaking out. It lasted from 11 am to 5 pm and was a great success! The carnival was fun for all who came. The booths included in the carnival were a dunking booth, fortune telling, kissing booths both male and female, a carousel, ferris wheel, balloon darts, iron man, cotton candy, sno-cones, popcorn, sausage dogs, and hamburgers. The most popular seemed to be the dunking booth, cotton candy and fortune telling. Sinners brought in approximately 600 Brunsens at the event. Let's hope there's more amazing events like this in the future!

However according to recent police questioning, the event didn't go without a hitch as first thought. Saturday, they spent the day questioning various citizens about the hot dogs being contaminated with a drug that causes increased horniness levels. Could this be the new drug being called "Happy Juice" that's being rumoured to have hit the streets causing increased horniness as well as hyper activity? The investigation is still underway at this time, check next week's issue for more information.

WISEGUYS TALENT SHOW & AUCTION

Sunday night Wiseguys was packed with Synizens as they came together to enjoy good fun and good drinks at their Talent Show & Auction event. The event lasted a couple hours and was hosted by DA's Raven and Jessica. The first part of the event was a talent show in which Synizens were able to show off their skills in competing for a prize totaling 3k Brunsens! Coming in at first place was Doc with his delightful tunes from Rocky Horror picture show which earned him 2k. In second there was a tie between Jezebel and Lil Shyly one of Syn's newest citizens awarding them 500 Brunsens each.

After the talent show portion while the judges decided the winners, there was an auction in which the lovely men and women of DA were auctioned off to the highest bidder. Some of the ones bidding on them came as quite the shock but needless to say fun was to be had by all! With the bar packed and the bartender unable to keep up with the orders, you can imagine the chaos.

Congratulations to all the winners and thank all you wonderful Synizens for participating!

Syn City's favorite newspaper, Syn City Gazette is now available online for those who have subscriptions at http://syncitygazette.blogspot.com. There's still more work to be done so things are not final yet but we didn't want to hold back any longer seeing as there's some that's been wanting us to be online since we started. Any questions, concerns, or ideas...contact us. We want to hear it!

SYNFUL PLEASURES

Synful Pleasures hosts events every Saturday from 7 - 9 pm SLT and Sundays from 12 - 2 pm SLT. Saturday, all those sooooo NOT innocent citizens of Syn pretended innocence, in costume at least, with their World of Disney event. Synizens came dressed as their favorite Disney characters. From princes and princesses to short dwarves, all enjoyed the unique event. Winners of the contest were Anna, Ricky, and Jess.

Sunday it was Good vs Evil, Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons and there was a good mix of all the above. Whether citizens chose to reveal their true selves or pretend if only for a few hours to be something else, needless to say, they were hott in doing so. Winners of the contest were Dia, Ricky, and Care.

This past Saturday, Synizens threw a rave at Synful Pleasures. Lights were shining, music thumping and glow sticks and hoola hoops all over the place. The neon in the darkness was amazing and a nice change from the norm. Winners of the contest were Morgynn a visitor to Synful Pleasures as of late, Arrow, and Dia.

Sunday after the recent carnival, Synful Pleasures decided to host a circus event inviting Synizens to come dressed in their finest, or craziest, circus attire. From ring leaders to carousels to clowns, it was up to the citizens. Many were in attendance and Jess, Anna, and Crisis walked away with the prizes.

Local DA member Kiely Islay lived a hard life as a child with an abusive mother and a father that stood by and did nothing. When he was a teenager, he fled Ballymena in Northern Ireland with very little education having left at the age of 14. His life a day to day struggle camping out in abandoned buildings scrounging and doing whatever he had to for food and water. Each day a new struggle with the same theme...survive.

Until one day when all that would change and they approached him. They...what was first a lone man bringing him food and water soon turned into odd requests for Kiely to do. What started as simple jobs with seemingly no importance soon went from dropping off packages and picking up money to stealing anything that could be turned into money. Though Kiely knew what he was doing, he had little choice other then to continue striving day to day to merely survive, if one could call it that. The man who he worked for was his only lifeline, his only way of easing that struggle so Kiely did what he had to despite the moral dilemma he faced with each theft committed.

His criminal activities had escalated to robbing shipments from docks and store trucks and stealing cars. He met others that were like him doing the same types of jobs. By the age of 18 he learned just exactly how far they wanted them to go. It was on the night that they were sent to murder a city councilman and him being the longest member of the recruits tasked with leading the hit and following through with it that he knew he was in too far. The jobs ketp coming with higher risks muggings and targeted beatings. He was the one to teach people lessons. The things he did still haunt him to this day. He knew he was in too far and needed to get out but knew not how to go about it until a man approached him saying he could help him find a way out but it would take time and until then his work didn't cease. He learned ways to beat people int he most extreme of ways while keeping it non-lethal.

Six years after meeting the man who was an Officer of some sort, his opportunity finally arrived but it meant betraying his family, the other recruits who he'd gotten close to, the closest thing to family he'd had, any of them had had in a long time. The good days they'd had together haunting him as did his choice he must make. In the end there was little choice to make, he wanted out. He was done.

Now having to start over once again with a heavy heart and a painful past, he was free though needing mending. He found what he needed in Syn when he joined DA. Syn for him was a city of hope which held the potential for love and family where he can live a life free from crime and is haunting past. He'd done what he had to do no more, no less but even knowing that it still weighs heavy on his heart and threatens allowing him to live his life making what he'd had to do a waste. With a new family and all the opportunities that now lie ahead of him, he dares to dream though his dream is simple. His goal...happiness, being happy doing what he wants to and one day seeing the problems here in Syn fixed. His dream, should he find someone with whom he connects enough to consider such would only add to that happiness. He would love to marry one day and have kids giving him the chance to have a real family of his own to go along with his adopted family the DA. His message to Syn...well that's simple as well "Buy me a drink!"

1. When DA has their "Underwear Day" things get crazy...from Miley Cirrus wannabe's to men in thongs and cocks swinging. Needless to say...booze, DA, and Underwear Day...makes for craziness.

2. Celest is out of town getting her penis removed according to local rumour according to JJ and DD. Although, perhaps her and Crisis were successful in their baby making attempts and she's been under the weather instead? Penis removal or a bun in the oven...you decide.

3. Mylar of the SCPD is in a companionship with DA's Brucey. I've been hearing rumours that Brucey was with Ricky....the city wonders how well she does with sharing.

4. There's been an increase in horniness levels in Syn the past week in both males and females. The cause is still unknown but seems to affect DA more then other gangs. Could it be due to their fun days such as Underwear Day or mere coincidence? That wasn't the case Friday at the carnival though when even Sinners were screaming out they were horny and stripping off their clothes.

5. Joniel Ireman, the Governor's nephew has been named as the new Police Commissioner and will be responsible for handling the SCPD's paperwork. Some city officials except to get favors easily from the Governor now due to the recent promotion.

6. Sinners are more then displeased with the progress being made to the City. They're complaining about the building being done to the city rather then focusing on the accomodation of the new lands. A rather loud argument could be heard from outside Dia's nail salon in which Sinner's VP Dia voiced her complaints even going so far as to call the Mayor crooked. The Mayor in response told Dia, in not so kind words same as she'd given him that he didn't appreciate what she was saying and refused to do business with her. He did however inform her that the plans to acquire the new land were still underway. The argument was quite heated and clients feared bullets flying at any time.

7. The park located in the uptown district of the city previously known as Oso Park, Viper Park, DA Park, and most recently Ireman Park has again been renamed to Fail Park.

8. Ender was recently heard stating "My bum still hurts from dist a little". What EXACTLY did the new Police Chief do to poor Ender and will his ass ever be the same again?

9. Shawn apparently either forgot where he lived or forgot his keys after a night of drunken fun and had to crawl in his window apparently just barely getting inside before passing out...well, most of the way inside anyway. It is rumoured he's already sampled the new drug, happy juice.

10. Syn has a new playboy in town, girls all over him and him flirting with every single one. Is it you? Are you one of the ones being played? Needless to say, Scar wants to fuck him and rumour is, Crissy already has. Who else does? And why is Ender calling him a whore. Perhaps it should be manwhore rather then playboy.

11. There's a new hero in town. One who fights for the good of the citizens. She's here to protect those in need! Her name? Do do do "Bat Girl!"
12. Arrow from DA thinks that Diamond, Sinner Vice President is beautiful and has a high school crush on her. Who knows perhaps soon the fighting between Sinners and DA might cease.

13. Rumor has it Sinners can't keep their men in line, or next to them for that matter although...Crisis has managed to successfully knock up Cel. According to one resident, "Sinner's ladies are having men trouble, like their men walking out on them." Wow...there you have it....should soon be hearing word of more single Sinners.

14. Officer Kenny is corrupt and beat up on Synizen for no reason breaking two fingers and dislocating her shoulder. He's also been shagging someone as of late but it's unknown who. Perhaps whoever he's fucking disliked the girl he beat up and was too chicken shit to do it herself?

15. JJ is cheating on Lynsey with newcomer DA member, Scar. Apparently she's been caught sucking him off in his chair. Dia, Arrow, and Becca as well as others seen the picture proving such.

16. As we all know, the Mayor is currently pushing to eliminate some of the violence in Syn but according to one source, the city employees are the ones causing violence. It's rumoured that Distansa is a dirty dirty whore who claims to be working within the "Law" spouting how she wants to see violence abolished from the streets and yet two days in a row she's gone to the park, taken a DA member away and leaves them bloody and bruised. Don't worry the two DA members are fine now but is the new Police Chief using her position to satisfy her sadistic fetish needs?

Syn City Land Suggestions

I spent the past few weeks strolling around the city having heard the news that there was the possibility of new land being added to the already large Syn City. I pondered what people would want added into the new land, that is not already here at Syn so began to ask Synizens how they felt and what opinions or suggestions they had. Undoubtedly the most common suggestion was the addition of a strip club, in which Vipers H4L business and Sinners Motel would supply the women.

Another suggestion was that instead of Syn being a run down urban city with constant violence, Syn had the chance of giving itself a new image, becoming a beacon of style and culture with new places such as a shopping mail, spa, hair salon museum and a bowling alley. Not sure how well that would go in Syn City, but was always worth a mention.

More suggestions included a race track for Synizens to race against each other for cash or pink slips, a movie theater to spend time at when you're bored and a gym for guys and girls that want to work on there physical appearance or just to keep fit. A train interlinking the two cities together was also suggested, but it seems the council have already thought of that idea as I have noticed a train just sitting outside Ireman park. Other suggestions included: Burlesque club, skate park, ladies strip club, singles club & a wedding planning service.

OOC - Some people believe the sim landing point should be changed as new people to Syn get lost at the market and sometimes don't even find the teleporter, and to have fighting on 1 sim, rentals on the other to reduce lag.

In conclusion, there was quite a few suggestions by the amazing synizens of the city, hopefully there are some council members subscribed to the gazette that may read over these suggestions and take them into consideration.

Syn City Progress - Brought to you by... YOU!

Low-income housing! The second phase of DestinyCare is nearing completion on the South East side of town. Soon there will be sixteen newish apartments available for rent at rock bottom pricing. The building isn't pretty but it's solid, just like Aunt Bea. The apartments are tight and smell funny but come furnished with a bed, a couch and a kitchenette area. They will even include a little space for wall decorations (but not much!). Be sure to check out the South East Side Project Housing, the latest in the unstoppable urban renewal you've all voted for.

OOC - the new apartments should be available for rent very soon. The inside of each apartment is a safe zone but all the common areas are open for RP and combat. The new apartments will include just a few prims for wall-art but the pricing is perfect... CHEAP!

The next phase in Mayor Destiny's master plan is for a massive campaign against gang activity and violent crime. Choose a side, because when the wars begin the city will be pitted against the most formidable force there is... its own people. Mayor Destiny, Chief Distansa, the Judges and the City Council stand resolved to control and crush all criminal activity in the city in the interest of piece and beauty... and real estate values... and increased property tax rates. Anyway soon the city will be the glorious battleground it was meant to be. As one of our more famous citizens used to say... "let the bodies hit the floor!"

Just incidentally... SCPD needs more bodies... I mean officers! If you've ever had any interest in getting killed repeatedly for no reason at all, or beating the living shit out of citizens in an attempt to exact the maximum bribe amounts then SCPD is for you! Check with the Chief for details.

The Masked Assailant strikes yet again!

The masked assailant, that's getting more and more active each week has struck yet again! He headed over to Ireman park when he noticed a motorbike belonging to DA's Jessica which he seemingly admired. He demanded that he wanted the bike, but Jessica refused to let the masked assailant have it and immediately called for backup and within seconds there was bullets flying everywhere as Jessica's family came to her aid and helped defeat the masked aslant, aka Skullman. Jessica did get wounded in the process but managed to keep her bike, eventually the masked assailant disappeared. Will we be seeing more from him, surely this strange person will want revenge now?

RECEIPTS BETA RESULTS

Receipts beta momentum continues to grow each passing week. For Week five, 48 receipts were turned in breaking the record set last week of 41. A total of 6,530 Brunsens were spent by 19 citizens.

The top spenders were Slash, Diamond and Flo. The top businesses were Sinner's Garage, Diamond Nails and Hoes 4 Less. The following new businesses have joined the program:

This is the final week of the beta program designed to encourage the spending of Brunsens, boost business traffic and gather economic data for the City. Visit the first floor of City Hall for more information and to deposit any receipts.

GRAFFITI CONTEST

The wonderful mayor of Syn City is holding a graffiti contest to get some new artwork on the new City Hall as well as a few other places within the city. Read below for more information...

My dear citizens, you filthy miserable bastards,

City Hall is a BEAUTIFUL phallic symbol of my incredible leadership skills and a wonderful testament to my prowess as your fearless leader. BUT... it's too new and too pretteh. I want some awesome graffiti to put in the parking garage and maybe on the side of the building to age it a little and make it look more like the dark and grungy Syn City we all want.

I will be holding a Graffiti contest in the parking garage of City Hall during the month of March. Here's how it works:

1) Do your BEST work. Make it good and make it graffiti.
2) Send me the texture complete with clear background so I can apply it to the prims in the parking garage.
3) IF you do a graffiti for a shaped prim let me know and I'll apply it there. First come first served on those prims.
4) DO NOT put your own prims in the parking garage. Hand me the textures and I'll get them installed.
5) No more than 2 entries per person.

OK - at the end of March a committee will decide which are the very best and most fitting graffiti graphics and those will get to stay as permanent(ish) parts of City Hall. Understand we can't use too many or it will just look like hell, so only the best will survive the cleanup!

PRIZES:

FIRST PLACE - $5,000 Brunsens, $1000 Lindens and One "get out of jail free" car signed by the mayor (probably worthless)

Synful Pleasures hosts events every Saturday from 7 - 9 pm SLT and Sundays from 12 - 2 pm SLT. Saturday, everyone got to enjoy St Patricks day together with the Irish theme. We got to see everything from green robots to sexy irish leprechauns! Everyone looked amazing and it was an awesome turnout as usual! As she always does, DJ Amber did a fantastic job for the event. Winners of the event were Serena, Jezabel and Jessica.

Sunday, Synizens participated in March Madness! The Basketball season starting up once more had everyone excited and we saw tonnes of Synizens showcasing their team spirit and colours! DJ Jessica was awesome as always for the event! The winners were Carensia, Jessica and Ricky.

In this weeks edition of Who's who, we've got non other than Fredo Gotti of Vipers MC. It seems as though Fredo seems right at home here at Syn, but like so many others this isn't where he planned to live his life. When he was young, he was always a bit of a trouble maker, he attended College but soon dropped out when he began to get overloaded with criminal activity. After he had dropped out, he was then accepted to become an Air Force pilot and started training immediately. He seemingly liked his new job but soon after he came in contact with the wrong type of people within the drug world and began both dealing and taking drugs such as weed and cocaine, once it was found out, he was kicked from the Air Force and served for a year.

Once he got out after serving a year, he was informed of the tragic news of his brother passing. He was a little shocked and then came to Syn City, where he's stayed since to look after his sister, Annabelle Gotti, who is now a Sinner and you might know her from a previous Who's who. Upon coming to the city to watch over his sister, he was approached by Celestia Rae of Sinners MC and she nailed him to the wooden planks of Sinners HQ and Vipers MC were the only ones there to help him out of the situation, He didn't really wanted to join a gang before that but he admired what Vipers had done for him and joined them, he has been a member ever since. He loves Vipers because he believes they're the best and most loving family there is and all the girls have big bootys

After he found a girl he liked and married her, unfortunately it didn't last too long as he was threatened by Ricky Venom to sign the divorce papers. It seems as though Fredo is in love with Rickys booty as he doesn't want to become a Venom because he wouldn't be able to perv her.

Fredo doesn't have much future plans right now here at Syn, but will deal with what comes in his path, but he does own his own tittie bar now. He strongly urges Synizens to visit the bar, bring some liquor with you on your way and bring along some girls that are willing to strip and serve drinks for everyone!

4. Rumours are circulating that Carensia of DA and Fiona Smith, the Mayors wife are going to be establishing a Pug Breeding business. However, some say a pug breeding in such a run down city like Syn City seems a little suspicious and some are beginning to speculate it may actually be a codename for drug dealing

5. One of the DA bosses, Carensia has been seen taking it from behind by her close friend, Ellie as seen in the picture. It's unclear to see in the picture if Ellie actually has a penis and is a shemale or if she is just using a strap on, but either she seems to be enjoying it, as was JJ who apparently wanted in on the action as he sat close by.

6. After Bruce got shot down by Black Venom, Bruce decided to bribe the Viper boss in the hopes that he wouldn't shoot him again in the future. Who knew that splashing the cash at the Viper boss would get you mercy?

7. Bruce has also recently rejoined DA, the first gang he was originally with when he came to the city. We're not quite sure as to why but it may have something to do with his biggest fan that even dresses up like him, DD persuading him

8. According to Fredo Gotti of Vipers, there is now Viper tax being charged at the bank as well as a Viper toll if you plan to cross the bridge, so make sure you have cash or guns at the ready when you go to either place.

9. One of the many corrupt PD officers, Joniel Ireman has been strolling around the city and drugging helpless girls then either leaving them lay on the side of the street or bringing their body home with him for his personal use. Women of Syn City, you've been warned.

10. Dan Venom of Vipers apparently has the hots for one of the DA bosses, Carensia. The long time Viper was seen approach her in Wiseguys when it was packed full of people and then hand her his card, with his phone number on it. Is it possible that Dan is on the prowl for women again?

11. JJ has been out searching for hoes lately, not even just for bunny hunts, however he insists they're ''Classy Entertainers'' and not hoes. When asked how Lynsey would feel if she found out if JJ was caught hiring a classy entertainer, he simply responded ''She doesn't have to find out''. Trouble in paradise between the DA boss and Syn City manager?

12. It seems as though the newish couple, Anna and Tanner have a couple of secret admirers as Morgan and Eva were spotted peaking inside their windows while they were cuddling together. Apparently they were hoping that Anna and Tanner were swingers so that they could have some gangbanging fun!

Sitting in a hard, plastic chair. The walls surrounding me are too bright and every mark and flaw stand out like an abstract painting.
The chair is too tall and my feet cannot quite rest flatly on the floor. My legs move restlessly trying to find comfort.
People shrouded in professional isolation walk by yet refuse to meet my questioning stare. Their footsteps brisk and sharp.
The air in the room is stale. It is neither hot nor cold and my skin begs for a decision.
i am painfully aware of my Loved One nearby. His pain wracks my psyche but i am unable to reach Him. i am so close to Him and my heart beats with His, yet so far away this room could be on Mars and the ability to hold and comfort Him would be no more impossible.
Damn this room and its complete lack of compassion. Where i am imprisoned in its dispassionate embrace.
To wait.
To wonder.
To worry and hope.
my mind takes leap and flies beyond the white walls and i am free. The world around me is dark in its sleep and i feel a sense of calm as i begin to imagine.
i imagine i am god-like, a being of light and love. i can pull the warmth of the Earths mantle up up up into my hands. i hold it close and instill it with my love then send it out to my dear One.

i am brought to myself by the sounds of footsteps. The room still an enemy but i am patient. my Loved One is strong and will win this trial.

COUNCIL MEEETING

Wednesday night, the council met to discuss what had been on the agenda for the previous council meeting that had been interrupted by Sinners due to the War on Violence Campaign. The meeting was called to order right on time with council members Amber, Dina, Fiona, Whacked, Dolly, and JJ present. There were only one or two citizens at the beginning but others joined throughout the meeting including Crissy, Fredo, Distansa, Bbseal, Crisis, Black, Sam, and Dia to mention a few. Despite complaints about council room seating early on from Bbseal, and an uproar from an enraged Viper, the council was able to get through most of what was on the agenda this go around. We would like to remind everyone that the council meetings ARE open to citizens but remind them of the proper council meeting etiquette to not disturb the meeting or speak unless one of the council members asks you to. There will be time at the end for questions, comments, and concerns from citizens.

The first item up for discussion was the justice system here in Syn...warrants, trials, penalties, bails, community service and jail time among other items. The City recently hired a city social worker who will soon be overseeing the community service that criminals may be sentenced as punishment by the judges. A committee comprised of Dina, Fredo, and Crissy was formed to devise a method of dealing with such. Councilman JJ was concerned for the common citizen when he asked "We can put are assurance in the officers to enforce the law and not their own vigilante justice? Who will review the evidence when asked to impose a warrant?" to which the response was that it would be up to the judges to weight the evidence and rule in the favor of justice.

The next topic discussed was directing the City Manager, Lynsey Werefox to create paid jobs. Lynsey will be working with Dolly to create jobs such as the City Manager, City Inspector, City Social Worker, the Justice Department, and other civil service positions. they will work on not only creating the jobs but also work on the pay rates and a receipt code for these jobs. According to Dina, the city coffers contain more then enough to see to these additional positions throughout the city due to the efforts of the new SCPD Chief, Distansa.

One of the hot topics of the evening is the new Mercenary Licensing Program that was up for discussion and approval. Deputy Mayor, Dolly Swizzle had concerns about keeping a balance since there will only be 20 merc spots open not wanting one gang to have most of those spots leaving weaker gangs who need mercs at a disadvantage. There were also concerns from council members concerning the immunity period and discussion of changing it from 24 hours to 1 week after becoming a merc. JJ was concerned about the weaker citizens but in the end, it was decided that if a mercenary was too weak to hold onto their license, they deserved to lose it. In the end, the law was voted into acceptance and will be written to the books with ayes from all council members except JJ. More information about the new Mercenary Licensing Program can be found below.

The Council then moved on to discuss building improvements to be made to the City including but not limited to, the new land to be acquired. At the top of the list is a new low-income housing project to be built in the area near the newly acquired Sinners Headquarters and the Homeless Shelter. The low-income housing was approved and it was stated that this will NOT take place of the trailer park. The trailer park at this time is to see no changes coming it's way from City Council. Discussion continues on city improvement ideas. There was a discussion about building a prison but in the end it was decided that at this time, a prison wasn't a necessity. One of which being Headquarter building specs and limitations. Some council members wish to enforce certain building codes for the buildings. The discussion of which lead to one Viper member getting rather worked up about the discussion when it was brought up that all headquarters should be limited in size and be potentially the same. Before they could be escorted out, they quickly moved on to the next topic. There will continue to be more discussion on future projects.

Big news for those establishments with Headquarters...Syn City Council will be sending out Mach 2 to collect yearly taxes on headquarters that are past due. It is unknown at this time when this will take place but discussion has already started.

NEW MERCENARY LICENSING PROGRAM

Syn City Mercenary Licensing Program - Submittal to City Council

Syn City recently had a problem with too many active mercenaries and too many outstanding mercenary licenses. To alleviate this problem the office of the mayor issued Executive Order #3 which curtailed all sales of mercenary licenses until a new program could be put into place. The following Mercenary Licensing Program is recommended both by the office of the Mayor and the Chief of SCPD, and is submitted for approval by the city council. The governor has approved this plan in concept, subject to final approval and modification as necessary by her office.

Enforcement: We are asking for a City Law. Mods have little control over things that aren't rules. The city will enforce the new program by revoking Mercenary licenses from abusers. Once this program is worked out and we are happy with the result we will submit it to Kali to become rules that mods will be able to use more effectively. It is important to remember and remind everyone that City Laws and Sim rules are different, and the ways we handle enforcement are different too. If a serious problem develops we will have to terminate this program and try again later.

Syn City Mercenary Program

Getting started:
1) The "Mercenary Union" will be formed and controlled by the Mayor, PD Chief, (plus Senior mod and Kali as necessary of course)
2) Two Mercenary Roles will be created: "Mercenary" and "Apprentice Mercenary" (in the G&D group. This is not another group)
3) All existing Mercenary Licenses will revert to "Apprentice" tags to begin this program.
4) A lottery will be held and twenty (20) of the licensed mercenaries will be added to the "Mercenary" role in the union (group tags in G&D just like now)
5) A challenge system will be maintained for "Apprentice" mercenaries to challenge for "Mercenary" spots. (challenge system detailed below)
6) Mercenaries may sell, trade, bet, or give their mercenary licenses to others. The license will be transferred by the mayor, PD Chief, or mod with that power.
7) Transfers are made for ten days MINIMUM - no license will be transferred twice in less than 10 days except by challenge.
8) Challenges are an exception to the rule above. Licenses transferred by challenge will be handled as soon as a union rep is available to make the transfer.

Merc Union Rules:
1) "Apprentice" Mercenaries may fight for hire ONLY in 1v1 hits, (NOT in gang fights - acting as a hit man)
2) "Mercenary" mercenaries may fight for hire at any time including gang fights.
3) "Mercenary" members must be ACTIVE or the Union Representative may demote them to apprentice.
4) If a "Mercenary" slot opens up the union rep will call a contest to determine who will get that spot.
4) "Apprentice" members may challenge any "Mercenary" for their tag. The challenge system is outlined below.
5) ALL fighting is still subject to sim rules

CHALLENGE SYSTEM:
1) An "Apprentice" mercenary may challenge each "Mercenary" up to once per day. There is no limit on challenges, but only once per day per each opponent.
2) All Challenges are to be declared 1V1 combat, with the winner taking the "Mercenary" tag and the loser taking the "Apprentice" tag.
3) A successful challenger may be challenged after 24 hours. A "Mercenary" who loses a challenge may challenge anyone after a minimum of 12 hours.
4) The RP and combat record showing the winner must be turned in to the Union Representative before the transfer can be done.
5) "Mercenary" members may not decline a challenge but may delay it for up to one hour. The challenger must respect the delay and the person being challenged must show up or be declared the loser of the challenge
6) Challenges must be done in person when the Mercenary is active, just like any other 1v1 combat.

These people are responsible for maintaining the Mercenary system. The Mayor and the PD Chief are the primary Reps. The others may handle things as needed.

RECEIPTS BETA RESULTS

Receipts, the new beta program from the City Council has reached the milestone of over 100 receipts turned in since the program started February 1st. The success of the program continued in Week 4 where every single record category for the beta has been broken.

The previous record of 29 receipts set by week one has been surpassed by week four's 41 receipts. The number of citizens making purchases was another week one record broken, which was 18 topped by this week's 21. Last week's record of 10,750 Brunsens spent was completely shattered by this week's 19,610 Brunsens.

This week's top spenders were Diamond, Miss Sammy and Gussy. The top businesses were the brand new Diamond Nails, Hoes 4 Less and Syn City Brewery. The following new businesses have joined the program:

The beta program designed to encourage the spending of Brunsens, boost business traffic and gather economic data for the City will continue benefitting all parties involved for two more weeks. Visit the first floor of City Hall for more information and to deposit any receipts.

MASKED ASSAILANT STRIKES AGAIN

A masked assailant that's already been in the papers twice already struck again midday Friday. Diamond had been in the Bodega shopping, when she had finished and was loading her groceries, the Skullman hoped in her car and drove off stealing Diamond's car. She panicked and chased after him guns drawn and ended up being injured by him and dragging her into the subway system. When Tanner went in search of her, he was shot by Skullman as well. Both victims sustained minor injuries. SCPD were called at the time of the incident but did not answer. It is believed there is a technical issue at dispatch. The car was soon after found at the impound lot and released to her by our wonderful Mayor without any damages done to the vehicle. It is believed the masked assailant known as Skullman might be a current or past police officer due to where the car was found.

SYN CITY GAZETTE ONLINE

This has now been set up. The homeless shelter is where the former PD was. There is a TP to the camping skybox. There will be no more camping in safezones unless it is a paid rental. Please remove your weapons and turn your meter off in the skybox. There will be no XP returned if you are downed. This is a City Council Initiative, I would like to thank Whacked, Fiona, Dolly and the other members of council for putting this in place as you the citizens have decided.

Like all Oscars, some in attendance carried the personalities of some stars and came as they were. From gowns to slutwear, all walked the red carpet before enjoying the tunes played by DJ Amber. Winners were Amber, Anna, and JJ.

Tanner tells the tale of a small-town boy joining the military same as his father before him. He was born and raised in a small town in upstate Ohio his father in the military and his mother a stay at home mom. It was the typical American family other then the strictness embedded within the patriarchal household. Having such strict parents kept Tann from being able to have as much fun as most children his age. He would go to school then come home, do homework, have dinner and a shower then head to bed only to do it all again the next day. As Tann grew, his father was around less and less as he grew in rank staying away for longer and longer periods of time. This gave Tann the opportunity to find other things to do. When he passed an old beat up gym one day, it changed his life forever.

The first time he picked up the weights, his potential was awakened always working out and bettering himself with the hopes of joining the military. At 16 he put himself in a competition for intermediate body building and took home second place making both himself and his parents proud. At 17, he applied to join the military and follow in his father's footsteps passing the test adding another success to his life. This was a big change for Tann but the start of his adult life. After completing his six months of boot camp at Paris Island, one of the marine corps largest boot camps, his own father gave the speech at his graduation. Shortly after, he was shipped off to do his 4 years in active duty. "Now I know a lot of people around here talk about my attitude and how cocky I may seem, for those of you who are wondering yes I am an overly confident person, I have a very cocky attitude, it comes from my family and my father. I have inherited ever since i was younger, so what makes me into the man I am today? my military experience has the biggest influence on my attitude. I will say that for awhile body building did have a large influence but... it didn't have as strong an influence as being in the military. They beat the attitude into your head and expect it to stay there."

Tann was shipped off to Texas and lived there for about a year until he was shipped then to Afghanistan for about two years then served his last year in North Carolina. He had a hectic schedule but felt it was his duty and obligation to do it. He was a Diesel Mechanic working on humvees, tanks, and other large pieces of equipment. When he was needed for anything that involved the kevlar vest and weapons, him and a smaller squad would go on side runs such as making sure the station they were based at wasn't being watched or surrounded by unknown insurgents. They made sure they hadn't lost anything as well seeing as people like to steal and sell over there. It was his experience and knowledge acquired as a diesel mechanic that helps him with his automobile work today. He liked what he did but always missed home and thought often of it. There was the occasional firefight, when they'd have a couple insurgents attack the base camp with small side arms and they'd have to take precautions and eliminate them before they could bring harm to any civis... "I think I killed at least 6 on my own (humans)... thats a feeling you just don't forget. I wasn't trained to be sympathetic, I was trained to do the job and if that meant killing someone who could bring more harm to thousands of people, I had to do it. After doing his duty for his country, he found his way to Syn City after being unable to find a place to settle down running into issues due to his "marine attitude". Seeing that those living here were a lot more violent then other places and more grim towards each other, he was drawn to it from day one. He'd finally found a place in which he can fit in...somewhat. He does still have issues with people disliking him but states "all the more reasons for me to stick around". He is now a full-time mechanic at Sinner's Garage and one of their elite fighters, an Assassin. He fights and runs the garage helping Sinners anyway he can. he's always there when his family needs him. To many, he is Tann, to his military squad, he's Tank the guy who runs in and gets shit done. When asked what he does for the city..."pretty much what everyone else does for it, i myself add to its ever growing population, I work to increase it's economic income... etc. you know how it goes".

So whether you've gotten to know Tank, the run in and get it done man or Tann, the neighborhood mechanic...now you know how he became the man he has. He's single and doesn't plan on marriage and kids. Well ladies "what you got is what you get"...interested?

2. Fredo has the hots for the new Police Chief, Distansa. The rumour was confirmed Wednesday night when the two of them were seen sitting side by side wrestling over the arm rest.

3. Sinners are having some financial troubles which is one of the reasons they've been doing a revamping of the Sex Shop. Did they use the last of their funds to make the repairs in a last ditch hopeful effort to save themselves? If business at the Sex Shop doesn't improve will that be the end of Sinners?

4. Sinners sells faulty dildos at the Sex shop according to one consumer who recently decided to make use of the revamped sex shop. They also have more stock then is needed. Will they have a sale on faulty dildos? How many of their dildos are faulty or was it just the one?

5. The Mayor's war on crime program is the cause for the recent destruction of the Oso Corporation and the reason for the Mafia leaving the city? Did he accomplish with Oso what he hoped to accomplish with Sinners?

6. Alister, current DA member is planning under the radar to bring back his League of Assassins in the place of Oso. He's currently working underground gathering members in preparation for taking over the uptown area of the city.

7. Tanner has been seen wearing a similar costume as Alister. It's been heard that once the League of Assassins make their move, he'll be leaving Sinners and joining Alister in the uptown movement.

8. Dina has recently taken yet another job as an officer at the SCPD, could it be she has maxed out Craig's credit card on shoes? Another source tipped us she is also working the streets in the oldest profession in history at Hoes 4 Less and goes by the alias Tina Chiclet.

9. The Mayor likes to keep up his personal appearances just as much as he likes to keep up his expanding ego as was verified by his most recent visit to Diamond Nail Salon where he got a mani, pedi AND a back and ass wax. Thank goodness, Syn can rest in piece the Mayor has a hairless ass crack!

10. Hysteria moved next door to the Viper Pit Brothel so she can sneak with her pet DD to the best dungeon in Syn for some kinky bondage fun.

11. DA was arrested early in the week after DD attacked one of PD's new recruits. It's rumoured the attack on the recruit was leaked to the PD...Syn City has a snitch. Is it you or one of your friends? Better be careful...next time, it might be you...
