DA RILES LOCAL GANGS
The past two weeks DA has been taking a more aggressive approach. They've managed to rile up both Oso & Sinners having both hunting them and one or both putting out Kill on Site orders on them. After their defeating OSO last week and claiming the park theres, tempers on all sides have continued to rise. Are DA still the little guys or is this the beginning of a new era for them staking their claim as a gang who can stand their ground? In any case, hostilities are definitely on the rise! A MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
My dearest Citizens of Syn City,
Fiona and I want to wish you all Happy Holidays and let you know that although the City Hall is condemned and the old courthouse is to be demolished soon the urban renewal that you've all voted for is progressing. Destiny One Tower will be completed by May 15! Phase Two will begin right after the first of the year!
I can't wait for you all to see the wonderful things you've voted for. We're planning lots of new events and ways for you to engage and earn both money and experience, and once the demolition is completed and the skyline of Syn City is forever changed as a beautiful tribute to me and my incredible humility we will all gather in the streets and give thanks for the visionary leadership you've all voted for. Modesty prevents me from going further, but you all know who we're talking about.
Remember, the Syn City DC project is progress you've voted for. Progress at ANY cost, it WILL happen, and you WILL comply. Have a wonderful holiday and we'll see the survivors once City Hall reopens after the New Year.

CITY ZONING COMMENCES
Last week, the Gazette mentioned a rumour about the potential sites of Destiny Tower Two, this week, the Gazette received information on the zoning that has started in preparation for the tower. Apparently, it wasn't a rumour at all! Below is information about the City's zoning structure and how it works. As you can see, there are now four popular sites that are being considered. If you own one of the sites, I highly advise you to contact the City Manager as soon as possible and speak to her about the zoning in which your business is currently listed under and see about perhaps changing it in order to protect your property. Read below for more information.
"Purpose of Zoning
Zoning protects the rights of property owners while promoting the general welfare of the community. By dividing land into categories according to use, and setting regulations for these categories, a zoning ordinance can govern private land use and segregate incompatible uses. The purpose of zoning is to locate particular land uses where they are most appropriate, considering public utilities, road access, and the established development pattern. In addition to categorizing land by uses such as residential, commercial, and industrial, a zoning ordinance also specifies such details as building setback lines, the height and bulk of buildings, the size and location of open spaces, and the intensity to which the land may be developed. Zoning does not specify minimum construction standards; these are set forth in separate building codes.
2.5.1 Contract Zoning
Contract zoning is an agreement between a property owner and a zoning authority, which binds the property owner to special restrictions on the use of the property and, in turn, binds the local zoning authority to grant the rezoning. The critical factor in contract zoning is a contractual obligation binding the local legislative body to pass the rezoning amendment if the landowner's contractual promises are kept. To enforce such a contract would require that a court order a legislative body to legislate, a requirement that offends the court's sense of separation of powers between the judicial and the legislative branches of government.
Prospective properties
Surveying markers have been placed along the property lines of which prospective property is outlined as required by law. When decided, the property chosen will be condemned and set forth to reflect the second project based on the Syn City DC Project, which was previously established for billing through the bond package, voted for by counsel.

SYNFUL PLEASURES
Synful Pleasures hosts events every Saturday from 7 - 9 pm SLT and Sundays from 12 - 2 pm SLT. Saturday night the splodder was blowing up as DJ Amber made her debut spinning the tunes that kept Synizens dancing on the dance floor at their First day of Winter Beach Party. All welcomed the first day of Winter. Winners of the contest were Samara, Steffie, and Icarus.

Sunday, Synful Pleasures hosted their Ugly Sweater Party giving everyone and opportunity to wear those sweaters that had been given to them that they normally only wore once a year and the rest of the time stayed tucked away in a closet somewhere wishing they'd never gotten them as a gift. DJ Jessica spun the tunes while everyone tried to make those ugly sweaters look hott instead of hot. Winners of the contest were Amber, Krysten, and Crissy. Next weekend is the New Year's Ball so get to ordering those fancy gowns and tuxes!

This week, we have someone who's loved by as many as those who fear being her target in a war. She can be as sweet as they come and her bullets just as deadly when she decides you're her target, Mrs. Steff Mason, Underboss of Oso and loving wife and mother. What started out as one stop of many on a bus to another City, turned into a long stay. She stepped off the bus to get a bite to eat and next thing she knew, the bus was gone, along with her luggage. She knew no one, had nothing to eat and was surrounded by Bikers outside Sinners. Thankfully, some of the female Sinners took her in, fed her and invited her to hang out at their street pool. It wasn't long after that gunfire could be heard. Steff had always been a tomboy rough housing with her older brothers and target shooting in the woods so when the gunfire started, she wasted no time in aiding those who had helped her. Sinners appreciated her skills and brought her into the fold so to say.
Mrs. Mason learned a lot while with the Sinners "how to fight in the gang fights, break in to buildings, make the rival gangs in the city look like children" but she also learned how to run a business. After a time, she felt that it was time for a change wanting to use that business sense she'd gained deciding that Oso was the best place to do that and "put that knowledge to work helping lead Oso to where they are today. Well, they say change is good for the soul and we did all we could for Sinners, was time to move on and make our own mark in Syn City." Steff mentioned how far Oso has come with the help of hard work and determination stating that she loves her new family and that everyone works hard to keep the businesses alive and striving to keep "class" in Syn City.
She met her husband, Wolf Mason when she was at a rough spot in her life, a real low point when it came to relationships. To her, he's been a great friend, a confidant, and a total nut case. Her advice for keeping a relationship going strong you ask? "Sex, lots of it. Well, we are so much alike it's crazy. Just be yourself I think. Nine months together and it still feels like the honeymoon. I cannot think of anyone else I'd rather be with." There are many that would kill to have the loving relationship that Mr & Mrs Mason do and many more that will never know what it's like to find the one that completes them. Life wasn't always rainbows and lollipops, she's had her fair share of hardships but like the old saying "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger", has definitely been the case for Steff. She ended the interview with a word of advice that all within Syn could take to heart and use to achieve happiness and success here in Syn both old Synizens and new alike, "Never give up, or give in. You wanna be on top, you gotta work hard, bitch. Seriously, just keep fighting, there will be good and bad days, but determination is key."

5. The SCPD has doubled ALL rates and fines to pay for the Mayor's changes to the City.
6. Word on the street is that Petal Pettori might cut her ties with Oso and go Vipers. Some are saying that she may actually have sexual feelings for Black.
7. One individual heard that the reason Sinners and Oso's alliance ended was because Sinners thought Oso were bitches and just using them as targets in a fight. Oso was just using Sinners because their girls are hoes and they enjoy a wet pole dance from time to time and the source that revealed this rumour wasn't referring to "working girls" either. Nor was he referring to a dance pole but poles of the flesh and that apparently Sinner girls crave the big D and Oso was all too kind to oblige. Could this indeed be true considering so many of them started as prostitutes at the motel like the saying goes...can't turn a hoe into a house wife? Guess there were perks to their alliance but in reality they were just using each other for their own personal pleasure and some....literally.
8. Steff had another boy, birthed to that Russian brother of Wolf's, the son being Jack of Oso.
9. Wolf's brother Dimitri has disappeared as well, it's rumored he is in some prison in the homeland...Russia.
10. Chief Fyng is out of town and it is unknown when he will be back. Chaos is anticipated.
